Plot of land in West End sold for more than the asking price
2:30pm Monday 7th October 2013 in Hampshire Business
A PLOT of land has been sold for more than the asking price.
Goadsby sold the site acting on behalf of joint liquidators Chantrey Vellacott DFK.
The site had interest from a range of owneroccupiers and local property investors and secured in excess of the £225,000 asking price.
Ben Welch of Goadsby said the last known authorised use of the site was camping and sales, so it had planning consent for retail, which increased its attractiveness.
He added this suggested “strong demand for property for sale, not only from owneroccupiers but also from investors as the market begins to recover”.
Terry Evans from Chantrey Vellacott said: “The proceeds enabled the secured creditor to be repaid in full, with a surplus.”
