AXA Wealth on track to raise the profile of Basingstoke
AWARD-WINNING firm AXA Wealth has upgraded its presence on Basingstoke railway station with the launch of its Your Town hub to capture the best of the borough.
The company, based at nearby Winterthur Way, now has new AXA Wealth signs at the station which invite passengers to visit its online Your Town hub.
It has been designed to be a people’s page, which can be accessed by smartphones via a special QR code or via axawealth.co.uk/yourtown.
Paul Riddell, head of strategic communications at AXA Wealth, said: “We are proud to have our headquarters in Basingstoke, and we wanted to use our brand and our familiar presence on Basing-stoke train station to celebrate the town.
“Anyone familiar with the town already knows what a great place it is to work and live, and we have long been long-term supporters of Destination Basingstoke and Basingstoke Consortium to help raise the profile of Basingstoke.
“We have lobbied hard for the improvements to the town centre – particularly The Malls shopping centre and Basing View.
“And we have a strong sense of citizenship with our employees through our numerous fundraising activities for St Michael’s Hospice – our chosen charity.
“From the work we do with Destina-tion Basingstoke, it is clear that the old image of Basingstoke is passing and a great many people, particularly those under 30, view Basingstoke as an exciting, thriving and lovely town.
“We wanted, therefore, to create a place where photos, videos, anecdotes and stories can be showcased on an easily accessible site and advertised in a public place like the train station which sees nearly six million train passengers pass by every year.”
To help get the Your Town hub off the ground, AXA Wealth is inviting community groups, who would like to share their stories and pictures, either to email HeartsInAction@AXAWealth.co.uk or email@example.com.
