Accumuli strengthens its services acquiring Signify Solutions
RAPIDLY growing Basingstoke IT security specialist Accumuli has acquired a Cambridge-based managed service provider of secure authentication for £2.6million.
The company, based at Tuscany House, in White Hart Lane, said the deal involving Signify Solutions has strengthened its managed services offering.
Signify helps organisations to secure their computer networks, providing a secure alternative to passwords that safely enables remote access to systems and information by delivering Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) as a hosted or cloud service.
Signify brings 282 customers to Accumuli, covering a wide range of markets from technology and telecoms, through to manufacturing, legal, healthcare and the public sector.
Accumuli chief executive Gavin Lyons, said the acquisition is in line with the company’s strategy of helping customers secure their business through a combination of technology, professional services and managed services.
He said Signify fits closely with the company’s existing portfolio and adds capability in 2FA. This synergy will allow Accumuli to promote and cross-sell Signify’s authentication services to its wider client base and vice versa.
Mr Lyons said: "Accumuli’s goal is to help organisations secure their business from the constantly evolving threat landscape.
“Given the growing mobility of today’s workforce, it is becoming increasingly important for all organisations to offer employees secure remote access to systems and information.
“Therefore, adding two-factor authentication to our managed services offering represents the next logical step in our value proposition to help customers secure their business and reduce operating costs.”
