There are just a few days to enter the INSPIRE Business Awards
THOSE thinking of entering the INSPIRE Business Awards need to act fast as the closing date for entries is this Saturday.
Among those encouraging local business people to make nominations is Councillor Seán Woodward, executive member for economy, transport and environment, at Hampshire County Council.
The county is council is continuing its support for the prestigious business awards by once again sponsoring the Young Business Person of the Year Award.
Cllr Woodward said: “It is important that we celebrate business excellence and the INSPIRE awards provide a fantastic opportunity for outstanding businesses in the north of Hampshire to gain recognition for their achievements “Hampshire County Council is proud to be sponsoring the Young Business Person of the Year Award. This award is open to dynamic individuals under the age of 30 who are running a business in the north Hampshire area and demonstrating great success and drive in growing their business.
“We hope that by shining a spotlight on the business leaders of the future we are able to inspire young people to use their initiative and take forward successful new ideas and practices leading to a bright future for the Hampshire economy.”
The awards, which are organised by Destination Basingstoke, are open to businesses that pay their business rates in one of the sponsoring local authority areas – Basingstoke and Deane, Rushmoor, Hart and Test Valley.

Judging is set to start in September, when finalists for each of the 12 categories are chosen.
The awards night will take place at The Hampshire Court Hotel, in Chineham, on Thursday, November 21.
