Rising private client star hired by Basing View law firm
A RISING star of the UK’s private client sector has joined a Basingstoke commercial law firm.
Imogen Buchan-Smith, who has been listed in the 2012 Top 35 Under-35 list of private client professionals by Private Client Practitioner magazine, has joined the private client team at Pennington Solicitors, based in Basing View, from international law firm Baker & McKenzie.
Imogen advises both UK and overseas-based individuals on a variety of issues, such as general estate and tax planning, succession planning in the context of family-owned businesses, as well as cross-border structuring and conflicts of law.
She also supports financial institutions, including banks and trustees, on fiduciary, tax and trust matters, and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Lesley Lintott, head of Penningtons’ private client team, said: “Imogen has already established a strong reputation within the private client field, and she will play an important part in the continuing development of services offered to clients in Hampshire and the south east.”
