GOODE John Jacob aged 84, Master Thatcher, of Colemore, Alton, sadly passed away peacefully on 25th December 2017, following a short illness, bravely borne. Special Thanks to the staff at Royal County Hospital Winchester and Flowerdown Nursing Home. Funeral Service at Thomas a Beckett Church, Warblington, on Thursday 25th January 2018 at 1pm, followed by Burial at Havant Cemetery to rest with his Family. Flowers welcome or donations to Cancer Research UK and the British Legion via: Kemp & Stevens Funeral Directors, 93 High Street, Alton, Hants, GU34 1LG.

Uncle John , will be sadly missed by family and friends and those that knew him. He always had a tale and a story to tell , his good humour and home spun words of wisdom could always keep him talking . His Wit and humour will long be remembered fondly. His work as a Master Thatcher in the local area kept him in touch with the community that he grew up in and loved.He was a keen supporter of the British legion and was proud to take part in collecting at the annual poppy appeal, until his health prevented him .
Despite his poor health in the last few years he remained fiercely independent and was great full for the help from his family, that kept him at the home that he loved for so long. Rest in peace with Mum and Aunt Bunt & Gran. With loving and enduring memories, Linsey, Alex & Halle XXX
