Aged 77 years, was suddenly taken from us on Tuesday, 26th July, 2005, after a long illness bravely borne. He will be greatly missed by his wife Joyce, daughter Anne, Charlotte, and all his many friends. No longer with us in body, but always with us in spirit. Grateful thanks to the district nurses of Friarsgate Medical Centre and The Gratton, Sutton Scotney. Also to his wonderful GP over many years, Dr. T. Stannard. Qualified as Agriculture Engineer. Taught at Eastleigh College. Took up professional diving and worked in the North Sea. Went on to become Diving Systems Engineer and travelled the world spending 8 years in Brazil. Last employer Stena Coflex Building & Maintenance of narrow gauge steam trains He built a 7 1/4 gauge train called Sanjo which he ran at Lakeside Railway Eastleigh.
