HAMPSHIRE fire bosses and crews have been celebrated at an annual awards ceremony.
Members of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were thanked for their work as ‘one of the finest fire services in the world’ at the Celebrating Success ceremony at its Netley headquarters.
Awards ranged from organisations supporting the service to prizes for innovation, won by the #INeedMySpace campaign which aimed to stop motorists blocking fire station exits.
Fire authority chairman Chris Carter called the group “one of the finest services in the world, made up of some of the most passionate and professional people I have met”.
