Crash near Winchester causing rush hour delays
TWO people have been taken to hospital following a crash between a car and a van near Winchester.
Ambulance and fire crews were called to the A34 near Headbourne Worthy at around 4.30pm on Monday.
Firefighters helped a man who was incapacitated by serious head injuries out of the van, a spokesman said.
One person was taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and the other to Southampton General Hospital.
Lane one southbound of the A34, just before A33 Basingstoke Road, was closed.
Two ambulances and a hazardous response team attended.
