HAMPSHIRE fire investigators have today said the cause of a devastating fire in a Meon Valley business park was accidental.
Several units and vehicles were destroyed at the Dradfield Business Park at Soberton Heath in the early hours of Sunday July 13.
A spokesman said today: “They (investigators) believe a slow smouldering fire inside the unit then spread to a camper van outside and then spread further from there.
“As it was an industrial unit, there were numerous possible ignition sources at the seat of the fire and so it has not been able to pin down the exact origin of the fire, though it is thought it may involve electrics.”
At its height some 70 firefighters tackled the blaze which saw several gas cylinders explode.
