A NEW interactive tour designed by a Winchester company is to be showcased in London.
Winchester-based Platform 4 has worked with the Alzheimer’s Society to produce Memory Points – a site-specific headphone walk aimed at people with early onset dementia.
The tour, which has taken five years to produce, is going to form part of South Bank’s Festival of Love from August 7-18.
Catherine Church, Platform 4’s artistic director said: “We are thrilled that this special project which has brought the company such acclaim will now have a final flourish in one of the best places for seeing art of excellence in the world. It is incredibly important that regional work of artistic excellence finds a place on a national and international stage.”
The interactive performance will be shown in hidden spaces of Queen Elizabeth Hall and in the tunnels underneath the Royal Festival Hall. It will include various installations, miniature sculptures, films and photographs.
It was chosen along with other pieces from the National Theatre and the Royal Court as one of the top ten theatre pieces for 2013 by national critics.
