Police are appealing for witnesses after a van was stolen in Durley and then used in a burglary in Fisher’s Pond, Eastleigh.
At about 12.30am on Monday, May 27, a white LDV van was stolen from a driveway in Durley Street, Durley. It is believed that up to four men were involved.
Police think it was then used in a burglary in Hensting Lane, Fisher’s Pond, at about 1.15am, where copper tubing and fittings worth more than £5,000 were taken.
It is believed the men involved may have been wearing hooded tops and had their faces covered.
PC Jasmin Connolly said: “The vehicle was subsequently found near to Alresford Golf Club and it is believed that the theft of the van and the burglary are linked.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Connolly at North Walls Police Station on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where information can be given anonymously.
