A UNIQUE annual event in Winchester will see people of many faiths coming together to sing for peace in the cathedral.

Space for Peace, now in its sixth year, on Monday January 27 at 7pm, will see choirs, faith groups and schools gather together.

Muslims, Christians, Jews, Ba’hai, Buddhists and many more all singing together as a model of how peace could work between faiths and peoples.

The cathedral is full of music from every chapel as the groups sing for an audience who move around them.

It is part concert, part musical reflection.

The event is directed by Rev Prof June Boyce-Tillman and is also the Winchester City Council’s formal marking of Holocaust Memorial Day.

Admission is free, there will be a retiring collection.
