FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze that wrecked a garden shed in a village near Winchester last night.

Eleven firefighters tackled the fire in two garden sheds in Hunter Close, Kings Somborne, at 8.50pm.

Flames quickly spread to a garden gate and an adjoining house affecting the ground and first floor.

One shed was completely damaged by the fire and the other suffered 10 per cent damage. The fence, gate and exterior of the building also suffered 10 per cent damage.

Crews tackled the blaze using two breathing apparatus, one jet and two hose reels. It was out by 11.15pm.
