TICKETS are selling fast for BoomTown Fair in 2014.
Nearly a third have gone in just four weeks, including all the discounted tier one and two tickets are now gone.
That means only the final tier three tickets, costing £150, remaining for the four-day 30,000-ticket event taking place from August 7-10 at the Matterley Estate. The event has sold out every year for the past five years.
Meanwhile BoomTown charity Christmas CDs are on sale now for £6.
There are two CDs to choose from, each representing different sides of the city: the Uptown CD celebrates all things reggae, gypsy, ska, pirate, Balkan and swing and the Downtown CD is for straight up beats, bassline and hip-hop.
All the proceeds go to a Hampshire-based charity. This time it will be Winchester-based Home-Start which supports families with difficulties such as isolation, low self-esteem and mental health issues.
Anne Macpherson, scheme coordinator, said: “Thank you to the team at BoomTown and everyone who buys the CD – the funds raised will enable Home-Start to reach more families with young children in the local area who need friendship and support to move forward in their lives.”
The first line up announcement will be on February 3.
