FIVE applications have been permitted by Winchester City Council planning officers using their delegated powers this week.

In Bighton, Martin Norris has received permission to replace poorly fitting casement sashes in Accoya, painted white with double-glazed units. He can also attach a Starlink satellite internet receiver to the north side of a disused chimney stack at Rose Cottage, Wood Lane.

Denmead resident Mark Lambert can go through with his rear and side single-storey extension to the existing cottage at 1 Woodlands Cottages, Bunkers Hill. He can also add a new driveway for onsite parking.

Hilary Clark, of Bramble Cottage, 41 East Stratton, Micheldever, can replace her windows.

Mr D Jupe, of Beriton Heath Road, Soberton, can go through with installing top opening fan lights to the en-suite side windows at his property.

In Winchester Town, Ms M Needham has been granted permission for a proposed dropped kerb for vehicle access to hard standing with a vehicle turntable for one car, single-storey side extension and removal of one chimney at 10 Magdalen Hill.
