A HAMPSHIRE café is welcoming a new family-friendly social event.

The Yard, at Chilton Candover near Alresford, will host a ParentFolk’s Summer Sessions event on Saturday, June 8.

The event will feature a lineup of events and attractions for both kids and parents, including music, skate sessions, food trucks, make-and-do kids’ workshops, pop-ups and performances.

Families will have two three-and-a-half-hour sessions to choose from, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Attendees can meet and mingle with friends and other families, party with a lineup of DJs including DJ Jamielisa, and immerse themselves in a lineup of activities including play spaces from BRIO, tinker with technology in kids STEAM workshops with Sniff and Snail, have a go at the live family karaoke and enjoy theatre pop-ups, screen-printing and more.

ParentFolk founder Nic Spindler said: “We’re so excited to be popping up at The Yard with our Summer Sessions event in June. The idyllic countryside location is wonderful, and we’ve a jam-packed lineup planned!

“From eats and beats to skate workshops and even screen printing, our gatherings provide the perfect excuse for families to hang out together, to socialise with friends and for kids to try some cool stuff they may not have experienced before.”

This is the first ParentFolk Summer Sessions event to take place in the south, following several events in the north of England.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased from the ParentFolk website parentfolkweekender.com.
