ON Saturday, May 4 The Worthies Sports and Social Club will be hosting DJ Mick C with special guest the Stevie Wonder tribute act Godfrey D from 7pm until midnight. Wristbands cost £15 and are non-refundable. Funds raised from the event will go to Winchester Hospice. Tickets are still available but selling fast.

The social club will also have its next Sunday night bingo on Sunday, May 12. On the day sales open at 6.30pm with eyes down and games beginning from 7.30pm.

MEMBERS of the Kings Worthy community will be able to get their Covid spring booster jabs at Tubbs Hall on Friday, May 3 from 9.30am and 3.30pm. Boosters are offered to those aged 75 and over, and to those who live in a care home or are immunocompromised, and aged 18 or over.

No appointment is necessary and they will also be offering BMI (Body Mass Index) and blood pressure checks.

FEMALE business owners living in the Worthies are offered to attend for a couple of hours on Thursday, April 25 at The King Charles for some business networking with other local ladies. Tickets are available online at eventbrite and will take place from 9.30am until 12pm at The King Charles, 6 Lovedon Lane, Kings Worthy.

SOUTH Wonston Sustainability will be hosting a 'Give, Swap, Buy' event at South Wonston Pavilion on Monday, May 6 from 11am until 1pm. To book a free table space email swsbiodiversity@gmail.com.

LAST call for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO)-arranged guided tours of the Sir John Moore Barracks near Littleton on Saturday, May 4 for local residents. This should support the next phases of the development consultation process and allow any residents who attend to understand the site in context when providing feedback. 

The Worthies Sports and Social Club will be holding a craft makers market on Sunday, May 19 at The Worthies Sports and Social Club, in Lovedon Lane. The event will be open from 10.30am to 2.30pm, with entry and parking free. Non-members are also welcome.

Littleton and Harestock residents have been invited to attend the Annual Parish Assembly, which will be held at Littleton Memorial Hall on Monday, May 13 at 7pm. The Assembly will feature an annual report about the council's work, a financial report from the Clerk and reports from guests including the Sir John Moore Barracks Army Training Regiment representative, Winchester City and Hampshire County Councillors. There is also an open forum for residents to comment or ask questions.

Flowerdown Care Home in Littleton is looking for community volunteers who would like to come and befriend residents at the home for a cup of tea and a chat, which can be done either inside or outside.
